La Giralda, la cual se empez\u00f3 a construir en 1184 como alminar de la mezquita almohade de Sevilla, es sin lugar a dudas el s\u00edmbolo de la ciudad. Levantada por los musulmanes durante el gobierno de Abu Yaqub Yusuf a imagen y semejanza del alminar de la mezquita Kutubia de Marrakech, tiene ciertas particularidades que la hacen peculiar.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n es bastante interesante saber que los musulmanes, cuando conquistaban una ciudad que hab\u00eda sido de dominio romano o visigodo, sol\u00edan reutilizar los materiales de los templos de estos pueblos.
